The particles in the Eiffel Tower will then begin to vibrate faster and occupy a larger volume.

This is known as the process of thermal expansion, which allows the Eiffel Tower to grow up to 15 cm taller in the summer!

Matter contracts when losing heat. When the temperature drops, the Eiffel Tower will contract once more.
