Science Studios Where Learning Meets Design

WE FOCUS ON SCIENCE — EXPLORING OUR AMAZING WORLD

Our classes complement the MOE Science syllabus by combining interactive experiments, e-learning, and higher-order exam-based questions that strengthen key scientific concepts and keywords.

Science Studios’ learning experience is designed by Mr Chong, drawing on his years of experience teaching in top MOE schools and the Gifted Education Programme.

WE DESIGN OUR LESSONS — FOR ENGAGING, MULTI-SENSORY LEARNING

At Science Studios, students are guided to:

i) Explore and discover scientific concepts through hands-on experiments

ii) Apply their knowledge and express creativity through mini-projects and competitions

iii) Challenge themselves with higher-order thinking and exam-based questions

iv) Deepen their understanding with relevant scientific knowledge beyond the syllabus

Our learning studios are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and thoughtfully designed learning environments that enhance engagement and understanding.

Science Studios also features a dedicated experiment area, fully equipped with scientific apparatus and resources for hands-on experiments and activities.

How do we teach
science well?

Scientific concepts are strengthened through the theory of 5-E science instructional model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. Prior knowledge needs to be synthesized with new experiences to gain new understanding.

Our Science enrichment lessons at Bukit Timah Plaza, Balmoral Plaza and Eastgate are designed for the students to:

LEARN - EXPERIMENTS

Students carry out hands-on experiments to investigate interesting scientific theories and concepts. Young Scientists at work!

EVALUATE - SUMMARY & QUIZZES

The quizzes sum up what was taught in the lesson, giving the students exposure to higher order exam based questions. Students will learn how to adapt Science concepts and use keywords to answer the scenario based questions.

REVISE - SCIENCE STUDIOS ONLINE

Our Science online portal provides access to our Science educational videos and interactive quizzes . Students can revise the Science concepts and keywords on their tablet or laptop.
