EVERYDAY SCIENCE - LIGHT
Question 1

Ace worked at his uncle’s wine company during the holidays. His uncle tasked him to find out which type of bottle is best for packaging wine. He had to choose between a transparent bottle and a tinted bottle. The tinted glass is slightly coloured and translucent.

Ace carried out an experiment by leaving both bottles of wine exposed to direct sunlight in an open field for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, Ace tasted the wine from both bottles. The wine in the transparent bottle tasted worse than the wine in the tinted bottle. The sunlight had caused some chemical reactions to occur in the wine, making it taste bad.
